From 30th October 2025, Tim and Rick are no longer supporting Antares rules and universe development in any official capacity, semi- or not. They will be stepping back from running this site and the social media/FB page.
Rick has kindly offered to keep the Nexus funded. Also, to the best of our knowledge, Skytrex will still be producing Antares figures to order (the link to Warlord is now at the head of these pages as the Skytrex link sometimes did not work).
Antares’ development, this site and Antares social media has been handed over to a player-fan ‘Keeper’ team to manage on behalf of fans – who are welcome to develop their own Antares as they see fit!
The Master Keeper is the excellent stalwart, Jamie Morris. For those of you do not know, Jamie has been active in supporting Antares and has helped out at several ‘official’ games days; he also produced the excellent Antares army builder.
This means there will be no more ‘canonical’ background and the V2 rules from the perspective of Tim and Rick are frozen. However, rules developments, extensions, alterations, army lists and such are up to fans and players – much as Rick’s ancient ‘Warmaster’ rules for 10mm figures have been kept going by aficionados and even new versions released. Of course, we also ask that the Warlord Games’ trademarks and Warlord, Tim’s and Rick’s copyright is respected: example acknowledgements are in the various books already produced – they just need Tim & Rick’s names added – and any alterations have to be on a not-for-profit, fan-publication only approach.
Rick and Tim would like to thank John Stallard for his largesse in allowing us to develop V2 of Antares and continue its background, and to hand off production to Skytrex. All we ask of the new keeper team is that they respect this largesse and keep the FB page and this site dedicated to Warlord/Skytrex models and advertising – with the exception of the excellent conversions for use in Antares, of course (mainly Ferals and Freeborn).
Tim has handed over a short list of possible options/rules recommendations to Jamie and the Keepers. Whether or not those are implemented is up to the keepers and you, the player-fans!
Incision Shard and the Antares D10+ RPG are still the copyright of Tim Bancroft, and the names within TM and (C) \Warlord Games, though players are happy to extend them as they see fit as a not-for-profit enterprise.
We hope everyone embraces this new development and revels in the opportunities it offers. Rick’s genius has once again produced a rich background and universe that is still bursting with ideas and can now be expanded upon by fans to their hearts content and to their own shape.
